 OCZ Making its Mark at the Showdown LANfest 2K6!

You know you?re in for a good time when OCZ is sponsoring your LAN party! Over the weekend, the PC Gamer and Maximum PC Showdown LANfest 2K6 attracted 500 gamers from across the country to battle in Unreal Tournament, The Battle For Middle Earth II, Counter Strike Source and Battlefield 2. Along with other major industry sponsors, OCZ joined in on the action, providing tons of prizes, swag, contests, and picture ops for the gamers and attendees.
     
     
OCZ CEO, Ryan Petersen, and VP of Marketing, Alex Mei, stopped by the check out the Showdown action and chat with the gaming community.
 
Spirited individuals volunteered their arms, necks, foreheads, and even their offspring to bear their OCZ support. The most adventurous participants took home OCZ memory and power supplies. We thought Simon the toddler was worth 2GBs!
     
     
     
Both OCZ sponsored gaming teams, 20ID and Paradigm Shift, made an impression on the Showdown 2K6. 20ID won first place in the Battlefield 2 tournament, while Paradigm Shift took second place.
