OCZ ECC Registered PC-3200 DDR used to achieve incredible overclocking results

OCZ Technology Group is pleased to announce that XtremeSystems.org forum member and highly respected overclocker, Oppainter, recently achieved milestone benchmarking results with OCZ PC-3200 ECC Registered memory on the Athlon 64 FX-51 platform.

Oppainter ran the OCZ PC-3200 ECC Registered memory at 262 MHZ CL 2-2-2-6 timings throughout testing in order to achieve landmark SiSoft Sandra and 3DMark 2001 scores. Volt mods and a phase change CPU cooling system were necessary to keep the system stable, but the OCZ memory was stable throughout testing, according to Oppainter. CPU-Z and SiSoft Sandra screenshots can be found in the OCZ Hall of Fame.

“OCZ is proud of Oppainter and congratulates him on achieving such incredible results with our product,” said Steve Lee, Vice President of Sales and Marketing with OCZ Technology Group. “OCZ will continue to manufacture products that allow enthusiasts to push their systems to their maximum potential.”

While OCZ congratulates Oppainter on his incredible results, we must warn that Oppainter used extreme overclocking methods in order to achieve these scores and casual users should know the risks involved with extreme overclocking.
