Instantaneously play music, view images, or open files as if the Mini-Kart was an onboard hard drive with True Plug and Play functionality. The ultra-thin miniature USB 2.0 Mini-Kart drive is designed with ultimate portability and reliability in mind and is backed by a 3 year warranty.

Tech Power Up
"The OCZ Mini-Kart redefines the meaning of thumb drive. While regular USB sticks are your full thumb's length, if not more, the Mini Kart goes merely to your thumb's first segment. With a height of only 2.8mm it is ideal to go into your wallet. This makes it possible to carry up to 2GB of storage around without having to track another thing in your pockets."

?One of the areas we were initially concerned over with the Mini-Kart was its durability, but after we had the device in our hands, our thoughts had soon changed. The device was surprisingly strong even with its small physical size, weight, and plastic exterior...For those seeking the maximum performance, the OCZ Rally is certainly a likely candidate. When it comes to the physical size the OCZ Mini-Kart, it is certainly a winner, being able to pack up to 2GB of data within a 2.8mm tall device.?

"Although this USB 2.0 drive is not the quickest on the market, the other features sure make up for the shortfall. Once you have this drive in your hand you will soon realize what I am talking about. This drive is just ridiculously small and has all the features you would expect from a normal flash drive. Hell, I loved even showing people this drive. Even the computer enthusiasts I have as friends did do a double take when they saw me pull this small unit out of my pocket."

?Thanks to its diminutive size, the OCZ 1GB Mini-Kart certainly has an edge over its competitors. It's so thin you can keep it in your wallet! Those who are looking for something unobtrusive will certainly love its ultra-slim profile...As far as performance goes, this is a great card to read from. It showed very good read performance for both large and small files. In fact, it was the second-fastest drive in our large files comparison and the fastest drive in our small files comparison...With that said, we still feel that the OCZ 1GB Mini-Kart deserves a Reviewer's Choice Award. While its write performance is far from stellar, it certainly has excellent read performance. In addition, no one can deny that it is unique in its remarkably slim and short profile. That is something that will ensure its place in the market and in our pockets. Congratulations, OCZ!?

?Small size is the most appealing feature of the OCZ Mini-Kart USB drive. The drive housing is a mere 2.8mm thick, which is ever so slightly thicker than a quarter. The length and width of the drive is 43mm x 19mm making for a very small package. With the proliferation of USB connectivity products if your system is anything like mine, space around the USB ports is at a premium. The tiny size of the Mini-Kart means that you likely won't have to unplug another of your USB peripherals to connect the Mini-Kart to your computer.?

"Although most compact or mini flash drives are quite small, I?ve found that most are still quite bulky when in your pants pocket. Depending what type of pants I?m wearing this can by quite cumbersome but I didn?t even notice the OCZ Mini-Kart was with me. I would suggest trying the OCZ Mini-Kart yourself; It has quick transfer rates, its compact design along with its own key chain lanyard makes this product a must have and since it is available in 512MB, 1 GB and 2 GB capacities, one of these is bound to fit your needs."

"There is no question that flash drives have become extremely popular in recent years. Just about everyone has important data they need to backup, transport, or store. This flash drive is similar to other plug and play USB2 flash drives in that it is simple to use. While most flash drives are small, they are large in comparison to the OCZ Mini-Kart. As a matter of fact, it's so miniature it's impressive."

"OCZ's Mini-Kart is one of the coolest USB flash drives to come along in some time. Its size means that the Mini-Kart could be placed almost anywhere, on a keychain, in a wallet, or in a pocket without the user even noticing that they have it. With capacities up to 2 GB, it is possible to store lots of data in the smallest package available."

"The OCZ Mini-Kart looks great and performs quite well. Even though it may not have as fast of performance as the OCZ Rally or other Dual Channel USB flash drives, the miniature size more than makes up for it. Don't get me wrong, it is not a slow drive by any means. Geared as being ultra-slim (or just plain ultra-tiny), the Mini-Kart can fit in a wallet or pocket with no added bulk. I'm sorry to say but after using the OCZ Mini-Kart for a couple weeks all other USB flash drives just seem clunky and oversized. Every time I use the Mini-Kart in front of someone, they are amazed at how small it is, and then their eyes get huge when they discover that it holds 1GB (and a 2GB model is even available)."

"The performance of the Mini-Kart is quite good and despite its compact size, it can at times outperform other standard size USB Flash Drives. However, we believe performance, with regard to reading and writing transfer rates, is not the only or main characteristic we should look for in such an ultra-compact device. There's also reliability, which is backed by the OCZ brand name, in combination with the 3 years warranty."

"The OCZ Mini-Kart is a rather unique flash memory product as few devices offer such vast storage capacities in such a small footprint! Given its miniscule size, you would expect the performance to be very average. Surprisingly, this was far from the case as the Mini-Kart 1GB flash drive was able to easily out muscle the smaller, bigger X-Micro flash drive. This is impressive given the 4GB Corsair Voyager was slightly slower than this X-Micro device in some tests."

"This flash drive is not the fastest on the market but it sure is the smallest and that is what counts in my eyes. You can get this little baby up to 2GB which is quite a bit for this small size. You almost forget that you carry this around as it's so small and lightweight."

"OCZ have once again produced an innovative product. At 2.8mm high the Mini-Kart can be taken anywhere with you easily without lugging around a large memory key. I?ve actually been carrying it in my wallet for the past few weeks without even noticing it is there, perfect for me, as the reason I don?t carry around a USB key is that it?s clunky and too large."

"So in closing, I'd just have to recommend this unit for it's flawless operation (even though it doesn't look like a typical USB connection, it works perfectly), and for it's ultra-slim design. It's the smallest USB flash drive I've ever seen, and at capacities all the way up to 2GB currently, it's a no-brainer for that person looking for something so small, they can hide it anywhere. Kudos go out to OCZ to take on such a challenge of making the Mini-Kart. It's a well designed and constructed product that is sure to stand up to plenty of use."

"Given its impressively tiny physical size of having a surface area roughly the same as a standard SD card, I can confidently say without a doubt that the OCZ Mini-Kart is worth showing off just for this. Being impressively small and thin, the OCZ Mini-Kart is definitely not fragile...In conclusion, if you are looking for a downright tiny USB thumb drive with a rock-bottom price tag from a reputable manufacturer, look no further than the OCZ Mini-Kart."

"The OCZ Mini-Kart 1GB thumb drive is a nice option. Its slim design could have you toss it in your wallet and never notice it again...In the end, the Mini-Kart USB2.0 1GB thumb drive from OCZ may not be the fastest portable storage in the world, but its design is unique and will do an ample job for most users."

"Despite lack of killer performance as we are used to from OCZ, Mini-Kart is sexiest USB flash drive we encountered so far. It will fit anywhere and be your data's best friend and it can be an ideal gift for everyone. Due to great design, usability and very affordable price, we award it with out Best Buy award."

"I've had this drive for sometime now and I haven't found a computer that the Mini-Kart wouldn't work properly with. There really isn't anything bad to say about the drive at all, it performs as it was designed to very well and it's about the easiest drive to take along with you when you're on the go. Just stick it in your wallet and go."

"One thing is certain. OCZ has produced an extremely small and low profile USB drive. With a thickness of that of a penny's width and a length about half that of a standard thumb drive it's safe to say the Mini-Kart does indeed fit the definition of portable."

"No, there has to be a better answer and memory maker OCZ has come up with one I like. The company's Mini-Kart USB 2.0 flash drive is to USB flash memory what Gumby is to stop motion animated cartoons. Think flat. I mean look at that little wonder, it's about a 1 and 5/8 inches long, 3/4 of an inch wide and 1/8 of an inch thick."

"The OCZ Ultra-Slim Mini-Kart USB 2.0 Flash Drive is a small, ultra portable and rugged USB flash stick. Even though it is not the fastest thumb drive on the market, I found its transfer speeds of large files fast enough. Its diminutive size makes it perfect for those with laptops as it allows other USB devices to remain plugged in at the same time. The body of the Mini-Kart is thick and rugged and withstood the intentional abuse I put it through."

"Imagine a computer shrunk to almost the size of a postage stamp. Well, I have one in the form of the Mini-Kart flash drive. No matter where I am, I can access my entire desktop on any computer. It's a godsend when I want to grab a file from someone. Because the Mini-Kart is so small, I just pull it out of my wallet and I'm ready."

"Today we have the OCZ Mini Kart in the labs, an altogether different spin on the pen drive. Whilst the Rally was certainly compact, the Mini Kart is positively tiny. In terms of performance, the Mini Kart is speedy, with a sustained read speed of approximately 20MB/s and a write speed of around 6MB/s for large files. For users looking for an exceptionally small pen drive to sit on your keyring, the Mini Kart is the perfect choice."
