"A special recommendation has to go to the PC6400C3 Flex XLC kit, which stands head and shoulders above the others when it comes to price-performance.

"Besides good performance the Flex XLC series also has a very nice design and a cool extra is the support for watercooling. The OCZ FlexXLC 800MHz CL3 DDR2 memory kit is an excellent choice if you're looking for a good 800MHz DDR2 memory kit that features good performance, CL3 timings and overclocking potential."

"The Flex XLC modules from OCZ have an impressive aluminium heatspreader for air cooling but not only do they look amazing, you can also watercool these modules for maximum performance. A big advantage of these modules is the EPP (Enhanced Performance Profile) future. This gives users with an Nvidia 650 or 680 chipset the possibility to automatically adjust the SPD data, which makes overclocking easier."

?OCZ Flex XLC PC-2 6400 is an excellent memory kit for water cooling enthusiasts. However, they will still fit ?ordinary computers? with air cooling systems. Enormous heatspreader copes flawlessly with dissipating the heat generated by memory chips. Nice performance of OCZ Flex 800 CL3 earned them a HardPC.PL Recommendation.?

?We went with OCZ Flex XLC memory in the Intel high-end system. In our labs, this memory has reached 1T timings at speeds even slightly higher than 800MHz on 680i platforms.?

"We are truly impressed with the performance of these modules. They are the first DDR2 modules that can be called low latency modules. They didn?t let us down regardless of the timings we set, and overclocked really good. These modules became a standard part of our water cooled testbeds and they come with our highest recommendation."

"In my testing, I found the modules ran at their rated speeds and timings coaxed by a voltage setting of 2.2V with only air cooling. I was also able to overclock the kit to 1,142MHz with 5-5-5-15 timings. At 2.3V, the FlexXLC kit turned in its highest clock speed of 1,155MHz. In the end, OCZ?s FlexXLC provided a method to watercool memory. These modules should offer quiet, efficient cooling for increased stability and longevity."

"With the Flex XLC line of high performance memory, OCZ indroduces an excellent product into the high speed DDR2 ram market. Considering the unique cooling flexibility that these modules enable, if you have a water cooling system, and the motherboard to get the most out of these modules, Flex XLC ram is a MUST HAVE."

"With the release of their Flex XLC modules, OCZ is offering a product which is substantially more flexible than most other enthusiast class memory modules on the market. They can be air-cooled or water-cooled. They'll run at lower clock speeds with tight timings, or at high clock speeds with more relaxed timings. The Flex XLC modules are unique, efficient, and from what we've seen thus far, the pricing is in line with other high-end modules."

"The SOE Urban Elite Series is another great mid range price of ram from OCZ. Because the ram is considered to be just ?gamers? ram? I thought that it would not clock as high as it did. I was proven wrong quick fast and in a hurry. The ram aggressively jumped up to 515MHz with loosen timings...The heat shields that OCZ have been releasing since the introduction of the XTC have added some excitement in the ram besides how well they overclock."

"Overall, the PC2-6400 Special Ops Edition Urban Elite kit is a pretty impressive DDR2-800 kit from OCZ. The heatspreaders looked sleek and it would certainly add a touch of uniqueness to your rig. It was originally rated at 400MHz with 4-4-3 latencies but we had no issues running them over 500MHz. With a maximum warranted VDIMM of up to 2.3V with EVP, we managed to achieve 475MHz with 4-4-4 timings, which was not too shabby. In fact, these Urban Elite modules currently hold the fastest records in our labs and were faster than other expensive DDR2 modules we have tested here."
