Legion Hardware "Vista is a memory pig and we recommend chocking any system running Vista with as much memory as possible. This means those running the 32-bit version should look at running 3GB?s of memory for optimal performance while 2GB?s will get you by. Even if you are not gaming we strongly recommend that you do not use just 1GB of memory with Vista, we have found it to be very sluggish for basic e-mail, word processing and Internet tasks. Those running the 64-bit version of Vista, which we much prefer, should seriously consider using 4GB of memory. The effects of having 4GB of installed memory were still evident during game play."

Techgage "Entering the 4GB realm has never been easier, thanks to the lower prices. If I were to personally run out and pick up a 4GB kit today, this would be it. Why? It offers better timings then the competition that is more expensive, has some overclocking-ability and also has a lifetime warranty. In the end, I recommend these modules to anyone who wants to upgrade to 4GB of RAM, and don't care to have extreme overclocking ability and who don't want to spend upwards of $500 for another kit that supports CL4. It's hard to go wrong with OCZ's Platinum PC2-6400 so I am awarding it an 8 out of 10 and our Editors Choice award."

i4U News "If you are looking for a way to get 4GB of good performing RAM into your Vista PC on the cheap, the OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Vista Performance Platinum Dual Channel is a fantastic way to do so. OCZ also gave their kit better timings than lots of competing products on the market so when all things are considered it?s hard to not choose OCZ compared to the other manufacturers."

Hot Hardware "Looking back at the performance of the OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Vista Performance Platinum 4GB Dual Channel memory kit, we were impressed with the product's stability and performance. The benefits of 4GB are clear if you actually spend some time in front of a system equipped with that much memory. This is especially true when running Vista, as the OS is designed to use every bit of memory you have to offer, and also true if you're a multitasker who tends to run multiple memory-hungry applications. These modules performed well in our overclocking segment and performance in our benchmarking sections was competitive. These modules can improve the overall performance of the system, making for a smooth experience in general system performance as well as games with high demands on system resources."

Club Overclocker "Sitting in the Platinum series puts these modules ahead of a few other OCZ offerings which explains, looking back at the numbers, why this set has a very good overclocking potential. Since most motherboards now support DDR2-800, and taking into consideration that we are Overclockers, that kind of headroom is exactly what we want. The SiSoftware Sandra numbers are a good reference, and they keyed on on just how high we could push the modules. It all comes together looking at the 3D Mark 06 results. Keeping in mind, the ONLY thing that changed was the memory bus speed. This is a free feather in the hat for any Overclocking looking to squeeze every bit of performance possible from their system."

Pro-Clockers "While the exterior glossiness of the platinum heatspreaders was very impressive, we were more astonished by the overhead we enjoyed during our overclocking tests. We were able to get more than 100MHz out of each module, which deserves much kudos and should enhance every user?s Vista experience. This RAM kit easily earns Pro-Clockers? Editor?s Choice Award for being an extreme overclocker and an affordable solution for gamers to upgrade their high-end systems."

3DXtreme "OCZ provides some serious bang for the buck. Taking price into consideration, quite simply put ?OCZ rocks?. OCZ knocked this one out of the park for almost $100 less than the competition you can pick up OCZ?s 4GB PC2-6400 kit of memory and over clock till your heart is content, while playing Crysis! The future of gaming is here, are you ready?"

ActiveWin "The OCZ set performed better than any of the other in the set we have here, of course it was far better once again when used in the full 4GB capacity that it should be. I believe the OCZ set offers the best value in this round. The OCZ set is superb value and performance for a 4GB kit. My view is still the more you have on a Vista PC the better and smoother your experience becomes. Best for Price against Performance, Best overall performance in 4GB's."
