"The Budget Game PC Advice suggests a balanced configuration for games to, that you can buy without taking out a mortgage. The components are mainly selected on the best price / performance for playing games. The modules from the OCZ Platinum XTC series have a long warranty and the performance is fine."
PC Gamer: August PC Gamer Rig
"These 1066MHz DDR2 modules are excellent value."
Hardware Luxx (Germany)
“The Platinum modules come with the well known EVP from OCZ which means you can increase the voltage without voiding the warranty. The OCZ Platinum modules have better timings, they are running at 1333 7-7-7 and 1524 8-9-9, in all mainboards we tested this was no problem. Increasing the voltage further pushed the kit to 1600MHz. The OCZ Platinum 1333MHz 4GB receives the Price / Performance Award.”
PC Lab (Poland)
“As you can see all tested modules have overclocking potential. Performance of OCZ Platinum 1333 surprises. They easily overclocked to 1800MHz, what means 35% increase and big savings.”
The Inquirer
"The over-clocking potential of the memory seems enourmous. We were running the sticks at 1500MHz quite happily for some time, and have since hit them to run at 1600MHz - still at the 1.8v native voltage. The usual quality, high performance product we've come to expect from OCZ. The lifetime warranty and EVP guarantee make the memory stand out even further from the crowd. Top performers, high quality build with solid heat-spreaders."
Todo Reviews (Spain)
"We believe that this will be one of the least convtroversial conclusions we have ever made, due to the high level that those kits have shown. If you want to have the best memory around it's clear that you will need to shake your pocket, as this kits offers an amazing performance. Excellent latency in all configurations used, excellent performance, excellent overclock capabilities, even using more agressive latencies than the default ones."
Gamezoom (Germany)
"The production of the cooler is flawless, the noise level is excellent and the price performance ratio more than good. Low priced and effective CPU cooler!"
Club Overclocker
"OCZ's DDR3 has some headroom and I was pretty happy with the results. We were able to increase the speed from 667MHz (1333DDR) to 900MHz (1800DDR), almost 500MHz over default. We were also able to tighten the timings at default from 7-7-7 to 6-6-6. I was very pleased with the OCZ PC3-10666 kit. I've come to expect OCZ's memory to perform well and overclock well and I wasn't disappointed. Almost 500MHz over stock is very awesome and tighter timings at stock is always a bonus. There really isn't much to complain about except the price tag. The OCZ PC3-10666 Platinum series is about what you'd pay for a high-end set of DDR2. The big difference is, you probably won't be running your DDR2 at 1800MHz. Club Overclocker Recommended."
PC Lab (Poland)
"We can see that DDR3 standard will own the future. From reviewed memories, those from OCZ were better thanks to the ability of working with lower timings."

"The OCZ Equalizer is a great mouse overall, for gaming and everyday use it works very well. It tracks well, has great features and is just a great all around mouse."
Bit-Tech (United Kingdom)
"OCZ is the faster memory across all the games we've tested here. Just like before the OCZ outperforms with low latencies. If you're a gamer, you might find that the OCZ is a better choice. OCZ modules are the better buy."
Overclockers Online
"So far, DDR3 is looking quite promising and this entry level performance kit is going toe to toe with a fairly hefty overclock of DDR2-1200 @ 5-5-5-8. The bandwidth to be had by DDR3 is simply incredible. Especially when you consider the fact that the PC3-10666 OCZ Platinum memory we tested today is at the bottom of OCZs high-performance offerings. The overall performance of DDR3, even at these frequencies, is already surpassing that of DDR2. If you are building a new system that you will want to keep current for months to come, you might want to start looking into DDR3 and a kit like this 2x1GB OCZ Platinum PC3-10666."
Driver Heaven
"Looking at the OCZ DDR3-1333 Platinum Edition modules first we see that these sticks provide us with great looks and performance when compared to older DDR2 memory results. It is also good to see that the product is able to run at 1T command rate on the Asus P5K3 Deluxe motherboard which is not a standard requirement."
Techgage
"Once said and done, the top overclock of this kit was DDR3-1500 with 8-8-8 timings, with 2.1v. What's good about this overclock is that even at it's speed, we were able to retain a modest voltage. I had quite a bit of fun pushing these modules to their limit. Truly insane bandwidth capabilities there. As far as DDR3 goes, you will not be disappointed by this kit at all. Kudos to OCZ for being one of the first memory companies to push DDR3 out of the door."
TweakTown
"Our OCZ memory managed to hit the highest speed at 1600MHz using just 1.8v on the memory. OCZ?s DDR3 modules have really pushed the barrier for overclocking systems. To this end OCZ gets our thumbs up and Editors Choice Award."
Hardware.no (Norway)
?For the DDR3 lineup OCZ continues to use the XTC design with a nice Platinum finish to the heatspreader. The heatspreader is designed to optimize thermal management, it allows the hot air to dissipate more efficient compared to traditional heatspreaders. At standard specs but also during full load this keeps the modules at a nice temperature. Looking at the performance of the modules easily managed 1466MHz at 7-7-7-20 and standard voltage. With a bit of tweaking we finally managed to push the OCZ DDR3 Platinum modules to 1560MHz at 9-9-9-24. The OCZ DDR3 Platinum 1333MHz is recommended for new Core 2 owners . With an overclocking peak at 1600MHz at CAS10 these modules are also extremely good when it comes to overclocking."

"I was quite suprised by these results! I never knew my RAM got that hot and I never knew a simple RAM fan would drop the temps that drastically! After seeing the test results, I was wholly impressed by the RAM cooler. Both its looks & performance suprised me, and I recommend this product to anyone who plans to overclock their system's memory."
