Pure Overclock
"As we've seen with Intel's Core i7 processors and its integrated memory controller, the performance results on triple channel memory modules really start to shine above 1600MHz. These OCZ Blade 2000MHZ modules are no exception, as they're clearly capable of higher performance than every set of 2000MHz modules we've tested to date. The Blade modules offer excellent performance out of the box and still have a bit of headroom left for overclocking beyond their rated specifications. Running 2000MHz at CL7 timings is nothing to scoff and, and there are precious few products that can achieve the upper echelon of performance that can surpass the 2000MHz club. OCZ has done an excellent job with these modules, showcasing beautiful aesthetics, quality construction, and excellent performance. The 2000 Blade modules will run above 2000MHz, at better timings than any other modules on the market."

"Every benchmark showed significantly higher performance in the DDR3-2000. As clearly seen in the testing, the CAS 7 memory performed better in every test. It looks great, with its matte black heatspreaders, black PCBs, and raised OCZ logo. The fins add additional cooling without making the modules overly tall. A quick look at my favorite online retailer shows only two 6GB memory kits sporting CAS 7. The OCZ Blade 2GB memory module may actually be the best performing DDR3 memory on the market. ThinkComputers gives the OCZ Blade DDR3-2000 7-8-7 6GB Triple Channel memory kit a 10 out of 10 score."

"If you are a performance freak like I am, yeah then there's currently very little out there that is better. What OCZ did here with it's blade memory is quite amazing. The minute you have it in your hands you just know it's all good, sturdy, heavy...masculine kit, and covered by a life-time warranty. We can do nothing else other then give it our more difficult to receive 'Top pick' award.”

"The Blade Series is the big dog of OCZ's line up. If you want the fastest speeds with the lowest latencies, you know where to look. We'll crown the Blades as king since they function at a safe voltage and keep us from worrying about killing our processor. OCZ makes it simple for those looking for the fastest memory kit available by providing the Blade Series with a sizzling speed of 2000MHz CL 7 at 1.65V. There is only one other kit on the market with identical specs and OCZ's product actually runs about $100 less than the competition. For gamers or enthusiasts who want maximum performance at any cost, we highly recommend the OCZ Blade PC3-16000 CL 7 memory kit."

Driver Heaven: DDR3 Tri-Channel Roundup
“The OCZ Blade kit gave us the most impressive results in our overclocking tests. At 2000MHz we were able to slightly tweak the timings to lower them to 7-7-7-20 which would give a further boost to performance. OCZ have gone for the best performance they can achieve by using more expensive components. The result is a set of memory which provided the best performance in every one of our tests and offers a lifetime warranty at these extreme settings. In every scenario the Blade kit was ahead and this makes them an ideal purchase for those who want the best performance available. A retail price of $420 may seem a lot for a 6GB kit, however when we compare the price of these sticks to the Corsair Dominator-GT with the same specification we see that OCZ are actually $110 cheaper.”

“The OCZ Blade PC3-16000 7-8-7 kit of memory is a monster, a man playing amongst boys having his way with whoever he chooses. The rated specifications of such a memory kit already put it into the upper echelon of memory, but the ability of our sample to clock at the various timings really makes this kit special. From a benchmarker’s perspective, this is the ultimate choice in memory. On a personal level as a competitive benchmarker, I cannot express my enthusiasm enough for this kit of memory. As all benchmarkers know, there are key pieces to your tool box, and this OCZ Blade PC3-16000 kit will be a major part of mine right through the i7 hardware cycle.”

"We can see on the new OCZ Blade series modules that the company is able to offer us a very impressive 7-8-7-20 setup. We thought that it would take a bit of mucking around to get the modules to behave at this frequency. Pleasantly surprised, we adjusted our timings and we were in Windows and benchmarking at 2000MHz with the correct timings within minutes. In the real world environment it's interesting to see that the OCZ modules put out the best performance in both the average and minimum department. The Bottom Line: Aggressive timings and high speeds; there isn't much more a performance junkie will want out of a memory kit."

"If you look at our results, we can only confirm that the extra performance is there. The task of a top of the line memory kit is to be the best performer, and this kit delivers on that front. At higher speeds the OCZ Blade shines once more, with the 2GHz test clearly beating the scores at 1600Mhz. At 1600Mhz, the Blades still come in first, so a clear win here."

"Based on the above we award the OCZ kit… for being the best of the best when it comes to performance. So if you are thinking of upgrading to the INTEL i7 platform I really suggest you benefit now from the price plunge in the market since due to DDR3 chip shortage prices will start to get back on their feet and you may well end up paying more in a month or so."

“The memory was completely stable at 2000 MHz, with 7-8-7-20 latencies, at 1.65 V. But this wasn’t the end of the performance we managed to overclock these enthusiast modulse to 2110Mhz this was a very pleasant surprise and the kit outperformed the previously tested modules from Kingston. The good overclocking results were surely also enabled by OCZs new heatspreader which did a good job in keeping the modules cool. The Blade 2000 modules proofed us once again that OCZ is one of the best and largest memory manufacturers around when it comes to high performance.”

"OCZ pumps out may kits of memory, but the one we're looking at today is is very best. It's six who gigabytes of 2000mHz 7-8-7-20 1T memory, running at a hugely fast frequency but also keeping really nice timings. Called the Blade for more than just a cool name, these sticks are literally the cutting edge in memory. Anyone who knows what they're doing will be happy with this kit."

"The top end of the market is once again amazingly OCZ. The Blade kit boasts higher operating frequency of 2GHz, and timings reduced a lot to 7-8-7. Thanks to the speed, the majority of the contenders do not catch up - not even in overclock. The performances are the most elevated possible. The detailed lists and the performance, considering the market to which they are addressed, allow us to award the kit with the PC Professional Silver recommendation."
