Each memory chip is in direct contact with a thermo-conductive pipe that guides the performance robbing heat away from key memory components and quickly dissipates it through the aluminum fin array. The addition of the extended fin array nearly doubles the total surface area available for heat dissipation while the heat pipes warrant near isothermicity throughout the entire design. The result is a doubling in effective heat dissipation at equal delta t or, in real systems, a significantly lower operating temperature of the memory modules. **OCZ EVP (Extended Voltage Protection) is a feature that allows performance enthusiasts to use a VDIMM of 2.15V without invalidating their OCZ Lifetime Warranty.

“This 4G kit is at the moment an excellent option if you wish to upgrade your system at low cost. These 4G are needed in today's latest hungry games when playing in high resolutions, but also under Vista when some applications are running all together at the same time. When runnig at 1000Mhz, the ReaperX 1000 reach 7198Mb/s, a very good score comparing to others that have higher frequencies. When it comes to latencies, the ReaperX 8000 does almost as good as the 9200, which is excellent! So why not go for it? personally I don’t see any reason not to do it. I can only recommend this kit from OCZ, and it receives a 10/10 for its perfect price/performance ratio and its excellent overclocking capacities."
