"The OCZ SLI Edition DDR3 running at a default 2000MHZ is one of those sets of ram that would allow you to take you CPU to the upper regions of overclocking bliss. While running on our EVGA 790I board we were able to get very high front bus on our CPU without having the ram be a huge bottleneck. This was done without having to play with voltages on the side of the memory. And speaking of voltages the default 2000MHz is done with only 1.8 volts. Before when I was playing with other non-2000MHz it usually took 2 volts plus to achieve 2000MHz. This kit is EPP 2.0 ready meaning the BIOS will set up all the numbers for you when using an Nvidia chipset. We are greedy as a people and always want more. But this kit did not give in."

"There are benefits for running this and other DDR3-2000 memory on lesser motherboards. They offer plenty of headroom for overclocking on motherboards that don't allow for separate clocking of FSB and memory, such as my Gigabyte X48T-DQ6 board.
