"The GameXStream has demonstrated here today what all power supplies should be like and that is stable as all hell. During our testing and time with OCZ's newest gem, we did not see any major fluctuation at all. So, in parting the GameXStream delivered as promised."

"Over the years OCZ has worked hard to build a reputable name for themselves and they did it with products just like the GameXStream 700w...The OCZ GameXStream 700w is an ideal product for those building the latest and greatest gaming system. It has proven to be more than capable of delivering an SLI GeForce 7900GT system with more than enough juice. The power supply also worked flawlessly in the AMD Athlon64 4000+ system, which was also coupled with the extremely powerful Radeon X1900XTX graphics card. This 700 watt power supply does not seem all that extreme in a market crowded with 600 watt plus power supplies. However, after a quick look around, there seem to be few trustworthy manufacturers offering 700 watt power supplies."

"OCZ has built a winner in my books, and I would seriously consider the GameXStream for addition to any system with higher than usual power demands. And if CrossFire were a consideration, then the GameXStream 700W PSU from OCZ is a must. We were also more than impressed with the sheer volume of connectivity available with this PSU. Checking against some other power supplies, only a few came close to the number of connections the GameXStream offered, and most all of those with lower wattages. The GameXStream Power Supply from OCZ breezed its way through all our tests with no problems."

"OCZ Technology has clearly demonstrated they can make high quality products other than memory. The 700W GameXStream is everything other power supplies should strive to be. During my testing of the GameXStream I did not see any fluctuation in the power output. With nice looks, Active PFC, high efficiency, and extremely stable power output, the GameXStream is the power supply to compare all others to."

"Now that is impressive performance. It didn't even "break a sweat" powering my system. The +12v rails barely saw any fluctuation. This unit boasts plenty of power and looks like it's ready for the long road ahead, with a small chassis, dual dedicated PCI-E power leads and six SATA power leads. The 120mm fan is quiet and moves plenty of air (which barely feels warm to the hand) out of the back of the unit. With Active PFC, Overvoltage, Overcurrent and Short-Circuit protection, all being backed by OCZ's 3 year PowerSwap warranty program really make this an attractive unit. This would be a great all around power supply for any type of application, I'd recommend it to all without hesitation."

"Like the PowerStream and ModStream Power Supplies, OCZ has hit the mark again. While the GameXStream Power Supply doesn't have adjustable rails or modular design, it still has lots going for it. At the top of the list for most computer users who demand quality is the requirement for the Power Supply to provide enough power for their needs. This product comes in a 600W and 700W configurations, so not a problem."

"OCZ has done an excellent job with their new GameXStream power supply. 700 watts of stable power is lots of juice to power the most hungry of LAN rigs with practical features that keep the end user happy...The OCZ GameXStream is most certainly a power supply for your short list on your next upgrade."

"Very often people writing PSU reviews don't seem to use the PSU in their system for very long before giving their verdict. I decided to approach this review from the perspective of an everyday end user and used it in my main system for almost 2 weeks to give a real world analysis of the PSU combined with a high end Crossfire system. I feel confident in recommending this PSU to anyone looking for a dual card configuration. You also may want to consider its slightly bigger brother, the 700W model if you are running a plethora of devices."

"As you can see, the highly efficient GameXStream held its ground during 100% loads with Folding@Home combined with Battlefield2. Normally, I've seen PSUs crack trying to power all the devices in a system like this as well as trying to run all our hardware at their highest performance capacities. But, this PSU really performed exceptionally well and showed it could handle a variety of different power requirements while the system ran at its top speeds...It really proved to be a top-notch PSU with the capability of handling a plethora of power devices as well as all the demands of the processor, hard drives, and video card."

"The OCZ GameXStream 700w is just a powerhouse of a power supply. I couldn't get it to break a sweat. It's a compact unit compared to other meaty power supplies out there so fitting this into your mid tower or larger micro-ATX case should be a breeze. It's also lighter in weight than a lot of units out there, which is nice because in this case quality isn't sacrificed for it's light weight. I found the OCZ GameXStream 700w to be an outstanding unit with rock solid voltages, ultra-high efficiency, and solid build quality."

850W - "One thing is for sure, 850 watts of power is just huge. It gives new meaning to the saying "go big or stay home". With that much power, the GameXStream 850 is not your average power supply...not by a long shot. Big power supplies like this one are only built to serve one purpose, and that is to power extreme gaming machines. If you have an average computer with average needs, there is no reason to shoot for the moon, but if you are into competitive gaming using multiple video cards, extreme overclocking using power hungry cooling devices, or just want the ultimate computer, the GameXStream 850 is definitely a power supply you should consider purchasing."

"The OCZ GameXStream managed to produce a full and stable 850w of power without the noise and heat associated with other high wattage units we've tested in the past. Add to this the fact that the OCZ GameXStream is no bigger than your average ATX power supply along with its excellent efficiency level of over 85% (as tested by our equipment) and it's hard to even consider using another power supply for your high-end future gaming PC...In recognition of these excellent qualities I need to congratulate OCZ for being the first company in the history of Overclock3D to receive our "Best In Class" award."

"The new GameXstream 700W is one of the best power supplies OCZ has brought to market. The DC outputs were stable and the +12V rails were particularly strong. The overall efficiency was very good and the 120mm cooling fan did a good job of keeping all the internal bits cool all the way up to 700W output. Not once did the noise level exceed the ambient conditions produced by the cooling solutions used in the system. "The power supply has become one of the most critical components in today's computer builds. Under rated or cheap power supplies will struggle to meet the demands of gaming systems and will eventually die trying to meet the demand. This can also cause instability, which is the last thing you want when gaming and can also really hurt the overclocking performance of the computer. Therefore we have gone with a proven quality unit from OCZ, in the GameXStream. The model we have selected is rated for a 700 watt output which will be more than enough to meet the computers demands. "The GameXStream really lived up to its name and its performance really impressed me. All the three (+12V, +5V, and +3.3V) rails remained almost stable with a very little fluctuation under load which is pretty impressive. The GXS is not behind in terms of efficiency either. The unit lived up to its advertised efficiency by delivering above 80% efficiency under all conditions. Once I finished testing it, I am happy that its less noisier than almost all PSUs we have tested so far. The OCZ GameXStream is definitely one of the best PSUs we laid our hands on.
