“It is great to notice that the prices of DDR3 memory are dropping, getting close of the DDR2 that are dangerously cheap. With this fall we can see kits of excellent quality like these getting cheaper and cheaper. The benefits in performance are still far from motivating an upgrade but to those who are put together a new computer is something to think about."

"The OCZ PC4000 Dual Channel Gold DDR modules' performance is compatible to its competitors. One gigabyte of RAM memory is not a big deal anymore, in times of heavier and heavier 3D games and graphics applications. OCZ follows the market and offers several types of DDR memories, including the new DDR2, being known on the US market for its quality products. The frequency we achieved with the modules tested allowed us to reach an overclocking of 792 MHz in our Pentium 4 and we could notice that in everyday life those things work better with a Pentium 4 running at more than 3 GHz in Dual Channel configuration. The OCZ kit reached numbers very close to the Kingston HyperX 4000 512 MB DDR memory, that was nottested with this configuration, and the price was also very similar if we compare it to the price of two Kingston modules."
