OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666 Platinum Low Voltage Dual Channel
HWM (Malaysia) Added on: 2010-01-31
“The OCZ Platinum series modules utilizes their own proprietary Platinum layered Z3 XTC heat spreaders. This design does not add too much to the thickness or the height of the memory modules, making them suitable for any standard, dual channel DIMM slot. Performance-wise, the memory modules work exactly as advertised and deliver better performance on a P55 board compared to an X48 board. On standard settings the memory modules get a PCMark05 score of 9474 which is quite good considering the low timings contribute somewhat to its overclocking performance as we could easily overclock them for a PCMark05 memory test score of 11269. Overall, the OCZ DDR3 1333MHz Platinum Low Voltage Dual Channel memory kit is a very good and cost-effective memory kit perfect for the performance user on a budget."

"We then duplicated the file on the SSD and we got a reading of 202MB/s at one point while it averaged at about 105MB/s. The duplication took about 26 seconds, nearly twice as fast as copying from another drive. We then used WinZip 14.0 to compress the same folder and it took only about 2 minutes. In contrast, the same folder zipped on a normal HDD took 3.5 minutes. That’s nearly two times faster! Now that’s what we call agile! We’ve said this before and we’ll say this again. SSDs are about performance and not capacity. Having said that, the OCZ Agility Series 60GB SSD performed great!"

"The OCZ Agility 60GB SSD lives up to its brand name by offering a read speed that beats out many of the more expensive SSDs we’ve seen including the performance SSDs from OCZ. The OCZ Agility 60GB SSD offers great performance despite its mainstream market billing. While its smaller cache size and capacity does make it more affordable and a bit more limited, it’s very fast read performance balances this out nicely. This makes the OCZ Agility 60GB SSD ideal for the notebook user looking for a more affordable SSD with all the advantages of better stability, durability and reliability than a more expensive SSD would offer."

“OCZ has always been synonymous with high performance. If you are a gamer or an enthusiast, this is the pair you really want! We absolutely love the performance of the OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666 Platinum Low Voltage memory. The mirror finished platinum heat spreads not only look nice but dispearse heat pretty well too. “The OCZ Summit 120GB remains cool to the touch when idle and slightly warm when under heavy load, using as little energy as required… It is very light and can take a bit more shock than your average SSD. The OCZ Summit 120GB is another high-performance SSD targeted at those who need faster transfer speeds than your average SSD. Execs seeking to boost notebook performance will probably benefit the most from this SSD as its shock proofing adds a bit more reliability for a computer that gets dropped or shaken about more often than the most”

"The OCZ Vertex 120GB blazes away with a PCMark05 score of 28916...[it] also did quite well on our PCMark Vantage Hard Disk Drive testing suite, achieving a great score of 22806. The OCZ Vertex 120GB remains cool when idle and is just warm to the touch when under heavy load, proving that the drive uses very little energy. If used in a NAS or server, expect cooling costs to be cut by at least 70%, especially if cooling is done intelligently."

"Overall, the OCZ Reaper PC2-9200 2GB kit is a pretty decent kit for the price. With its innovative heatsinks, the modules were comfortable at higher voltage. The heatsinks were very effective in keeping the modules cool as heat could be felt moving through the heatpipes. The heatsinks also looked great and would definitely stand out from the rest. As on the overclocking and stability department, the Reaper HPC kit is among one of the top rated DDR2 kits we have tested. The modules also showed excellent compatibility on our test platform as we managed to score over 8000 MB/s in Sandra 2007 Memory Benchmark."

"The OCZ FlexXLC PC2-9200 2GB kit is our first experience with memory water cooling and OCZ has outdone themselves with such an innovative solution. With a combination of both copper and aluminium material, the FlexXLC offers both exceptional air cooling and water cooling as well. The FlexXLC did not only overclock as advertised, but it also stunned us as it allowed us to overclock beyond 600MHz without touching its VDIMM or latency. With a maximum overclock at 651MHz, the FlexXLC breached the DDR2-1300 rating which was possible at 5-5-5 latencies. If you are planning to get some serious overclocking on your DDR2 platform, the OCZ FlexXLC PC2-9200 2GB kit is definitely worth checking out."

"Basically, the Tempest is a low profile cooler that performs better than any cooler in its size. Thanks to the quad heatpipes and nickel coated copper base, the Tempest is easily the best looking CPU cooler in its class. The provided fan pushes quite a lot of airflow and comes with bright blue LEDs. While testing on a dual core X2 3800+ AMD processor, we found that the Tempest was good enough to allow our system to run at stock speed. Judging by the load temperatures, we would not expect the Tempest to allow us extreme overclocking, but we could overclock up to 500MHz while maintaining temperatures below 60ºC. If you?re looking for a small sized CPU cooler that does the job right, the OCZ Tempest is probably the suitable cooler for you. Priced at $50 / RM185, the OCZ Tempest is not too expensive considering that you are getting a CPU cooler with excellent bundle and bright blue LED fan."

"The EvoStream 600W is OCZ?s latest modular PSU and it is surely one power packed unit. The overall presentation was good as we really liked the retail packaging and the attention to detail. The power supply was well protected and the cables were packed inside a separate box inside the package. OCZ has a good customer reputation and you get most of it with the EvoStream 600W as it comes with 36 months exclusive PowerSwap warranty...If you are a hardcore gamer or overclocking and silences is not one of your options, the EvoStream 600W looks like a good solution for you."
