The Agility 2 offered all the benefits that the Sandforce controller is known for, fast random access and high IOPS, which is what many of us are looking for in a SSD. Quick boot ups, fast application loading, and silence are just a few advantages. A heavy load really needs to be applied to actually get the Agility 2 to break a sweat."

"Let me just point out again that this thing is FAST. Multitasking is an ease now. At first I had to wait one by one for my programs to start and now I can start up 3-5 at the same time. Compared to my old hard drive, the read/write/response times are incredibly faster. It will last you a while, and it’s not a bad investment to make. If sitting around for minutes waiting for your programs to open up isn’t your thing, then I’d say take the chance, buy a solid state hard drive."

"The OCZ Agility 2 SSD is a great little drive and with it being my first SSD in a desktop computer, I can say that it is a very worthwhile upgrade. The speed that I can start applications and the overall system performance from adding the SSD as my boot drive is much more noticeable than other upgrades like going from a 4-core to a 6-core CPU or adding another 2GB of RAM. If you want your machine to feel faster, the OCZ Agility 2 SSD is a fantastic upgrade. I highly recommend the OCZ Agility 2 SSD."

"The Vertex 2 shows its superiority in ATTO as it trumps the Western Digital by a sizable margin. In fact, these are the fastest read / write numbers we have seen for a single SSD using SATA 3Gb/s and are approaching the interface's bandwidth limits. Even the 6GB/s Crucial drive mentioned above couldn't touch the write speeds on the Vertex 2. Very impressive. Furthermore, OCZ worked with SandForce to develop a custom "max IOPS" firmware that comes loaded on the drive. This firmware tested positive as we hit right under 49K total IOPS in IOMeter 2008.
