The OCZ Z1000M looks and feels very high-end. The 13.5cm double ball-bearing thermally-controlled GLOBE FAN is renowned for powerful yet silent cooling. Active PFC of Z1000M output design is based on two Japanese top-quality Nippon Chemi-Con capacitors. We measured the highest power efficiency rates among all tested models: 88.23% at 20% load factor, 90.93% at 50% and 89.20% at 100%. Overall, OCZ paid great attention to detail – starting with decent package of the Z-Series, solid housing, top quality components and excellent power efficiency and stability – Editor’s Choice."

"This 850W model is 80+GOLD certified. We tested it at 20%, 50% and 100% loading and efficiency rates met easily 80+GOLD highest requirements with 88,04%, 90,63% and 89,06% respectively. OCZ Z-Series 850 is not only extreme energy-efficient, but also pretty quiet. The thermal design of Z850 is very satisfactory. It’s based on a 135mm double ball bearing fan. After adding either HD4890 or GTX275 VGA cards to our testing rig, the power supply still managed to stay cool and quiet. The Z850 is a good choice for any high-end desktop."

"When compared to a solution based on RAID card and a couple of high-performance SATA 2.0 drives, OCZ Z-Drive m84 seems to be a better choice for many reasons: the total cost of ownership of Z-Drive is going to be lower than any other solution based on one high-performance RAID card plus two or four high-performance SSDs able to deliver similar performance.
